Fitzroy Place is a 95,000 m2 office, residential and commercial complex in Fitzrovia, London which is being developed from the former Middlesex Hospital building site.
Located in Fitzrovia in London’s West End this unique 3 acre site is to provide 235 private apartments, 20,000 sq ft of retail / restaurant space, 220,000 sq ft of commercial office space in addition to health and education facilities and public open space.
The development offers a collection of suites, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments together with a small number of prestigious penthouses. Each apartment will be finely crafted both in design and execution of detail.
Diffusion are supplying Slimline and Highwall fan coil units to all the private apartments and penthouses.
Ocean Village is a mixed-use marina, residential, business and leisure development on the mouth of the River Itchen in Southampton, on the south coast of England. Originally the site of Southampton’s first working docks, the “Outer Dock” which opened in 1842, the area was redeveloped in 1986 and became the leisure marina it is today. Ocean Village is now currently undergoing another series of major, multi-million-pound redevelopment projects and is set to become one of the main leisure destinations in Southampton.
Barratt Homes sold the empty Phase 2 site for £5.7m in 2011 to Allied Developments, a Southampton-based property development company. The development includes a residential 26-storey tower, 299 apartments, and several new waterside bars and restaurants.
Diffusion supplied a Chameleon 2000 Electric (400mm diameter) finished in brushed stainless steel for the main concierge reception area to this plush new development within Ocean Village in Southampton. Diffusion designed a bespoke top bracket arrangement to suit the site application.
One Tower Bridge is a mixed-use development located in one of the best riverside locations in London, comprising 9 blocks of a total of 396 residential units, commercial, cultural spaces and a single storey basement area.
Blocks 1-8 consist of 353 residential units and ancillary floor space including an estate management facility, a large cultural space and commercial units accommodated in buildings of up to eleven storeys.
There is also a 20 storey residential tower block with roof area and ‘lantern’ structure at its top. Included in the scheme are communal and private amenity spaces including an extension to and improvement of Potters Field Park and associated highway works and landscaping. The scheme also incorporates a large basement car park, plant rooms and a leisure suite.
Diffusion are supplying all the development with Slimline 170mm deep horizontal and Highwall 200mm deep vertical units.
The Star and Garter home, on Richmond Hill, London was built in 1921 and designed by Sir Edwin Cooper, based on a 1915 plan by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, to provide accommodation and nursing facilities for 180 seriously injured servicemen.
The Star and Garter Homes, the charitable trust running the home, announced in 2011 that it would be selling the building as it did not now meet modern requirements and could not be easily or economically upgraded.
The building, which is Grade II listed, was sold in April 2013 for £50 million to a housing developer, London Square, which, as of 2015, is restoring and converting the building into apartments.
The development will see 86 high end apartments comprising of 1,2 and 3 bedroom apartments, a new swimming pool and gym for residents.
Diffusion are supplying over 400 fan coils throughout the building.
The Shard is a skyscraper in Southwark, London. Standing almost 310 metres (1,020 ft) tall, it is the tallest building in the European Union.
The tower has 72 habitable floors and contains premium office space, a hotel, luxury residences, retail space, restaurants, a 15-storey public viewing gallery, and a spa.
It was designed with an irregular pyramidal shape from the base to the top, and is clad entirely in glass. Shard London Bridge’s structure was completed in November 2012, and it was opened to the public on 1st February 2013.
As well as having ECO Highine 270 fan coil units throughout The Shard, Diffusion also supplied bespoke Oasis air curtains for the viewing gallery which is situated on floors 68, 69 and 72.
3 Merchant Square is a 20-storey mixed tenure residential building, with ground floor community, retail and nursery space. The modern development provides flexible living space in 201 apartments, a short walk from Hyde Park and the shops and theatres of the West End.
Diffusion supplied 600 units to this project consisting of mostly 235 mm deep ceiling void units and wall void units. The units, where access was limited, were modified to enable the controls to be remotely mounted for ease of maintenance. Acoustic testing in Diffusions laboratory ensured compliance with the stringent noise requirement.
Riverlight is a new residential development offering a prime riverfront location in the heart of Londons largest regeneration area providing views along the Thames and over Westiminster and Chelsea.
Diffuson are supplying 530 units with a depth of 235 mm for the 1 & 2 bedroom apartments and penthouses. The ceiling void fan coils were adapted to incorporate remote control boxes to facilitate improved access for maintenance. Acoustic testing was undertaken within the Diffusion laboratory to ensure the stringent noise requirement was achieved.
De Vere Gardens is a prestigious development in Kensington and provides 97 luxury apartments over seven floors.
To meet the demanding requirements of this project, Diffusion worked closely with consultants Hoare Lea to ensure the high specification requirement was achieved for the 659 units supplied.
A number of fan coil types were utilised to fit within the spatial restrictions whilst maintaining very low noise levels of NR25. Bespoke free standing units, 175mm -270mm deep ceiling void units and wall void units were utilised throughout the building and modified to suit the installation where required.
One Hyde Park is a major residential and retail complex. The development includes three retail units totalling 385,000 sq ft and 86 residential properties marketed with prices starting at around £20 million.
The units were required to meet in-room noise levels of NR25 at elevated external static pressures whilst keeping the unit size within a restricted footprint. The vertical, fully painted units supplied incorporate the latest energy saving EC-DC motor technology. The units are fully packaged and include built in attenuators, high efficiency filters up to F7 grade, DC fans, heating/cooling coils and a recessed controls enclosure incorporating a full controls package.
Diffusion has successfully supplied Slimvector Recessed Fan Convector Units to a prestigious complex of luxury Penthouses, located at the stunning Berkeley Court apartment complex, Canary Riverside, London.
Every detail in the design and construction of the Canary Riverside apartments has been judged by one criterion; excellence. The complex is boasting magnificent gardens, tennis courts, a health club and stunning views across the London skyline. Naturally, the emphasis has been on providing an air conditioning system which provides ultimate comfort, whilst remaining discreet and unobtrusive. The Slimvector units provide an ideal solution to this specification as, in this case they can be cleverly concealed above a false ceiling, at only 145mm deep they can also be fitted into a floor void.
The main specification needed for this project was low noise levels, making these units the ideal choice, as they have been specially developed with forward curved steel fans and steel housings to produce high air volumes with low sound levels.
